UX UI Designer for employee & client digital banking applications

Brussel, België

Context
Design visually appealing and user friendly (digital) interfaces for new services of our online and mobile banking applications. Within our chapter we cater to all digital design needs of all channels (Mobile & web) for all end users (customers & employees) of all brands of the bank in Belgium. We are organized in subteams linked to domains and design for all channels above?

Today we are extending our team and are looking for a senior UX UI designer to support us in the development of our app & web applications for individuals.

Function Description

As part of the Concept & UX Design team, the UX UI designer designs the external and internal channels of the bank (mobile, web and advisors' tools). They are responsible for turning concepts and ideas into high quality customer journeys with screens and components that are visually appealing and highly user friendly. To achieve this, they take customer experience, user, business & legal needs and technical feasibility into account. As a consequence, alignment with different stakeholders is a must in this role. The UXUI designer is end-to-end accountable for their work and ensures follow-up of the designed solution from kick-off to the actual delivery.

As to guarantee maximum consistency for the end user and an efficient development process, any UX UI designer within our organization maximizes the use of existing components from the company design system. In close collaboration with our UXUI Community of Practice, any designer at the bank can also contribute to our design system.

Although final copy is not the end responsibility of the UX UI designer, all UX UI designers at the bank understand that copy is a fundamental part of the user experience and as a consequence pay a lot of attention to the message they want to convey throughout a customer journey.

For many projects the UX UI designer is ‘paired’ with a concept designer.

All UX UI designers at the bank also work closely with the product owner, the business analyst, the development team, the design system lead and other members (eg UX researchers, copywriters, other designers, management, business owners …) of the Channels tribe. Depending on the project, contacts with collaborators of other tribes may be needed as well.
